The influence of tides has drastically altered our planets landscapes, earth-moon interactions, and life on earth. This cyclical rise and fall in sea level is characterized by its impact on coastal land forms, and the adaptations of the organisms and people that are subject to its influence. The sun and moon impose a powerful force on the earth's surface via the medium of gravity, a phenomena which has manifested  into the ocean behaving as a single particle, attracted to their perpetual pull.
